Exodus 32:11-12But Moses implored the Lord his God and said, “O Lord, why does your wrath burn hot against your people, whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? 12  Why should the Egyptians say, ‘With evil intent did he bring them out…

It’s safe to say that when you truly love and respect someone, you desire to guard other people’s perception of them.  So it goes without saying that people you love don’t need to be present in order for you to represent them, for the sake of others having the wrong perception of them…
Moses loved the Lord, and because he did, when God wanted to destroy the children of Israel for making a golden calf to worship, to then make a great nation out of Moses.  He “reminded” God of His covenant with Israel to preserve them, not just himself, to guard the reputation of his Lord, against the perverted perception of the Egyptians after God redeemed them…(Exodus 32:8)
I believe Christians like Moses, should seek the Lord in true worship for the sake of having the kind of heart and lifestyle, that strives to represent Christ for the sake of others who don’t believe, and are perverted in their understanding of who God truly is.  Because it is the love of God through His grace and mercy to preserve us, He expects the same in worship to preserve His glory…
What gets lost when we don’t look to preserve Christ’s image through us, is the pride to not reciprocate His love and grace to anyone.  Like Aaron and the Israelites, we build a false image that doesn’t represent the God who rescued them from a life of slavery and bondange.  Forgetting what it cost Christ to redeem us, to then build an image not to preserve His image, but our own…
This is why humbly receiving grace and mercy is vital to revealing His image to others.  Anytime we are striving with people in pride, arrogance, bitterness, etc. we like Aaron and the others, who worshipped the golden calf, are refusing to rest in the image of Christ, and the grace to preserve His character to others like Moses did. (2 Corinthians 3:12-18)
Moses is a great example for us because he struggled with his own sins.  Yet in that struggle, his heart strived to preserve the proper image of God, for the sake of leading people to the same loving grace he received.  Remember it is impossible to administer grace, when we don’t seek God to receive it to love others.  Keep striving to seek the face of the Lord, that we preserve His image by grace, that others don’t get the wrong perception of who we represent.-In His Love,  Ld
