I hope you had a blessed Thanksgiving Day. We are very fortunate to be living in a country that will set aside a day to remember to whom we owe our blessings to….

After all the hustle and bustle of the day itself, I got to spend the quiet morning with the Lord this morning. Perhaps it’s my predisposition, but as I was reflecting on how truly unfathomably blessed we are, I almost felt ashamed. We’ve known no wars. We’ve known no slavery. We’ve known no oppression or egregious injustice. We live in the land of the free and the home of the brave that everyone on earth would give their right eye to live in…!

“All the paths of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and his testimonies.” Ps. 25:10

It is humbling to know that the Lord is with me when I’ve done absolutely nothing to deserve it. And also it makes me fear the Lord knowing that none of what I’ve been given is from myself or my effort, but entirely from the Lord. He gives and He can take away!

But even if He does take away, I must remember that everything the Lord does is out of His steadfast love and faithfulness toward us.

If you haven’t already, please take at least 10 minutes quietly reflecting on the goodness of the Lord. Especially if you are stressed or lonely, pray, “Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted.” Ps. 25:16

Psalm 25 is a good Psalm to slowly read through and reflect upon…

See you Sunday,
