Good morning everyone,

Job 9:4He is wise in heart and mighty in strength—who has hardened himself against him, and succeeded?—

Think about when you’re in a relationship and you maybe struggling to get along, and you think to yourself, "I don’t deserve this so I’m not apologizing". But then if that person begins to act "sweet" towards you, you begin to soften, slowly receiving their love while forgiving them…

There are "seasons" with God where the strength to press on and love like you know He deserves is weak and failing. It maybe that the Lord has left you in a season of "emptiness" which you feel is undeserved or hard to accept. So in response to His seeming "coldness", you harden your heart, and return to Him what you now feel from His lack of presence or action to lift your heart out of it’s emptiness….

But just like the heart I described in the beginning that promises that it will not apologize, Jesus and His Word has a way of reminding us of His love, though we don’t always feel Him in our hard times. He reminds us of His great love for dying for us, and redeeming us from our past life of guilt and shame.

It is hard to ignore the heart of Christ love towards us when we think about why He did what He did, and how unworthy we will always be for it. When we think about what we don’t deserve, rather than what we deserve, we can be thankful and appreciative for how freely He loved us and has already blessed us!

In His Love, Ld
