When you are sad, depressed, or self-doubting, who/what do you go for comfort? A friend? A pastor? A drink? A run?

How about the word of God? Have you come to a place in your life where the word of God is your source of comfort, guidance, and correction? Or is it still some other means?

When I say the "word of God," I mean it as in it read straight from the Bible yourself, it preached, it spoken, etc. But the point is that you are not getting the lift from someone else's opinion or worldly advice, but from the spoken or written word of God.

Why is this important? Because unless you are hearing from God, you will be tossed back and forth depending on who you are listening to. That is the sign of immaturity and being unstable.

Romans 16:26, "but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all nations might believe and obey him,"

If you have been feeling insecure, self-doubting, or condemning, don't go to another person. Go to God in the word of God. Spend the time and learn to discern His voice through the written word of God. Until you do so, you will forever be tossed back and forth....

Blessings,
