What if I told you that your worst moment actually could be your best moment? What if the day you lost all hope was the day you gained something much more important?

For the disciples, their worst moment was when Jesus was captured to be crucified. Three years of giving up everything to follow Jesus was ending with Him dying as a criminal. All their hopes of greater things – peace, freedom, comfort, power, etc – were dashed and gone with the wind. They were dejected, disappointed, and hopeless. But for all humanity, including for the disciples, it was the greatest moment in history. It was a day that God has finished the work of redeeming His people to Himself – reversing the curse that caused every problem in this world, both small and big. The disciples just could not see it as that right when it was happening….

So, what if your worst moment is your best moment? If you are going through a dark time, is it possible to look back in a few years at this time and think, “It was my best moment. It made who I am today through God’s grace!”?

Remember that God brings hardships on those He loves. If you are facing a hard time, it only means that God loves you. If you are at a breaking point or are already broken, it means that God loves you that much more. He doesn’t just choose anyone to break. Just those He deems worthy for His use.
