Good morning everyone,

Job 16:19-Even now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and he who testifies for me is on high.

One of the most refreshing things to experience in this world is authenticity. Whether that is people, food, places, etc. what makes the experience refreshing is that you are not left wondering whether the experience was genuine or not. I wonder how many of us ponder such things with God as we spend time with Him. Do you leave your time with Him knowing that you have been truthful and authentic?

One of the most important things I’ve learned to completely embrace about our Lord is His knowledge of seeing everything as it truly is. That doesn’t mean I always do, but it does help keep me from being in denial of things that He is highlighting in my life that must change. Especially if I really want to believe my walk with Him is authentic.

We as people have this innate ability to sense at times when a person leaves us that the experience wasn’t authentic. I know I’ve been on both ends, and in being inauthentic at times I know the person probably noticed. But Job had confidence in the authenticity of his relationship with God that he did not have to try and fake out people. He lived secure knowing that if he is authentic before the Lord, the desire to justify anything before people is not a priority. Has our priority become more about trying to act authentic before people rather than allowing God to be our final testifier and Judge who makes us authentic?

In His Love, Ld
