Have you noticed how the whole world seems to be addicted to love?

If you want to gauge a society, you look at it’s popular culture. What do people sing about? What do they make movies about? What makes the headlines of its popular magazines?

Love.

And this is not unique to the U.S. It is not only for societies that have the leisure to think about love. It is like that everywhere!

Love truly transcends life, does it not? And we Christians know why this is so…

Ps. 91:1, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in who I trust.”

Unless we find this Love Himself (God), we will not find lesser loves (spouse, children). What popular songs sing about, what great romantic movies depict, what our hearts truly long for, is for God’s love.

In this season of God’s displaying His ultimate love, may you focus your mind and heart on the Great Love Himself.
