Psalm 22:2-3–O my God, I cry by day, but you do not answer,
and by night, but I find no rest.

 enthroned on the praises of Israel.
There are numerous opportunities to encourage or try and strengthen people in their faith, given my position.  In all cases where my faith gets weak, and issues seem insurmountable, the common denominator is seeing the problem as so much more bigger than God…
One of the more common ways to pray when you read through the Bible is to complain.  Talking to God about the reality of how you feel about a situation is not sinful (Jeremiah 12:1).  What is sinful is complaining about God regarding the situation, as if He is not faithful, that’s assassinating His character and the definition of unbelief…(Numbers 11:1, Hebrews 3:12-19)
If we talked more to God about an issue, with the kind of heart that believes He can answer, than we are praying in faith (Hebrews 11:6, Luke 18:1-8).  But when we highlight our complaints, and never conclude in our heart that God is good and faithful, we lose confidence in Him and live in despair!  Because if God is not good and faithful, who is to answer our prayers?
Concluding that God is good, without Him answering all our prayers, is the key to living by faith and hope.  Because if we consider God unfaithful because He doesn’t answer every prayer, than we eventually conclude He can’t be trusted!  Which makes us indict God, and not our own wicked heart of unbelief (Hebrews 3:12).  It’s o.k. to complain to God, but make sure to leave room for praise after you’re done, because He is worthy of it.  Not because of what He does or doesn’t do, but who He is….
