Genesis 1:10God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good.

Generally people set goals and pursue it so they can then celebrate.  But we can also torture ourselves by failing to celebrate our progress until we complete that goal…
Not realizing the Lord’s grace in progress, betrays the image of God we are created in, which could explain an overall lack of joy in God.  Because like the Lord with creation, there is a beginning, but in between the first day and the sixth day of all the Lord’s work, He celebrated progress! (Galatians 5:22-26)
So if the Lord who is perfect and not plagued by anxiety, still finds a moment to celebrate progress without completion, how much more should we?  Our lack of faith can lead us to be paralyzed by worry, so the need to “see God” and His grace through progress, should provoke celebration towards achieving a desired goal or rectifying a situation…(Colossians 1:9-10)
For example you may be dealing with mending a frayed relationship.  If worrying about what could happen to the relationship is dominating our heart and mind, it can keep us from seeking the grace we need to humble ourselves to make steps towards peace and reconciliation. (Philippians 4:6-7)
Maybe a phone call, or an apology won’t completely fix the problem, it is a step towards the goal of reconciling, celebrating the grace to come out of pride and do my part in mending the relationship.  The grace to do my part is the celebration towards God in worship, not whether the person accepts me.  Yes, reconciling is the ultimate goal, but there can be celebration in what I’m doing for Christ sake, instead of delaying my celebration to be in the hands of someone else…(Romans 12:18)
Having ambitions, goals, and desired outcomes are great to have, yet the means of getting there can take years!  So if I only reserve celebrating what is “good” by completing everything, I am unrealistic to the image of God and the worship I was created to walk in.  God celebrated in Himself, His progress was good to Him!  We can have the same kind of joy in progress, when we are doing what God expects from true worship, without fulfilling everything in our heart to accomplish, as He did.
Allow yourself to celebrate “small” victories in His grace, that you be marked by joy, not disappointment of what you haven’t accomplished yet-In His Love, Ld
