Pride goes before destruction. God hates the proud. If you ever see someone boasting of himself, just wait some time and you will see him either dead or destroyed.

When the Prophet Elisha prophecies that God will turn the economy of Israel overnight, a captain snickers at him and says even God can’t do that. Then the next day, God turns the economy of Israel around and the captain is trampled to death!

One thing God cares about more than anything else is His glory. And He will not share His glory with any other. Therefore, if anyone challenges God or tries to take that glory away from God and onto the self, then you can be sure a swift destruction will follow

The proud believes in his own abilities. He believes it was his own hard work that got him there. He believes it was his own maneuvering and choices that made him stand out among the crowd. But if you really think about it, how much of what we have or what we are are through our own effort? And even if we have put in the effort, who gave us the determination to work hard?

Being humble means to acknowledge God in all things both inside and out. If God has given usĀ abilities, then it’s thanking God and deferring to Him. If some people praise us for our talent, then it’s telling that God has done that and not you.

Don’t be destroy. Acknowledge Him in all ways.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean on on your own understanding. Acknowledge Him in all your ways and He will make your path straight.” Prov. 3:5-6
