2 Corinthians 5:4-For while we are still in this tent, we groan, being burdened—not that we would be unclothed, but that we would be further clothed, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life

The paradox of being a Chrisian is never felt more than when we walk in hardship. The desire not to experience less, but experience more is really the hope of eternal life that Jesus purchased for us! This mortal life and the groaning’s it can cause are reminders that there is great hope in being a Christian. But the groaning is a longing to be rid of this mortal body, that gets in the way of experiencing the abundance of life in Christ.

The abundant life in Christ makes everything else full of purpose; our relationships, jobs, ministires, hobbies, etc. But so many times in being burdened by our capacity or lack thereof, we allow this life to be seen only through temporary “lenses”. Deceiving us to think we have to achieve something, get somewhere in status, or even wait until we die to experience peace from the burdens of life! But salvation gives us an invigorating taste of heaven through our relationship with Jesus.

Though we maybe the ultimate paradox of groaning yet rejoicing, “tasting” the Holy Spirit is a sign of our guaranteed emancipation from a tiresome mortal life, to be further clothed with the ultimate peace and experience of God in Christ Jesus.

Keeping seeking the Lord to allow His Spirit to keep you invigorated to live and not faint in well doing!

In His Love,
