Good morning everyone,

1 Corinthians 15:45-46-Thus it is written, "The first man Adam became a living being"; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual.

Though the phrase, "you can be so heavenly minded (supposedly) that you are no earthly good" is not reality, Jesus displayed the perfect balance of being earthly yet spiritual, never making himself irrelevant to either.

Depending on the people you’re surrounded by, you may find that it is rare to find someone truly like Jesus. If they are "naturally" relevant they usually have little or no spiritual side. Or if they act very "spiritual" they usually make themselves irrelevant to natural needs and concerns, with quick expressions like "just pray about it".

Jesus believed in prayer of course, but He also knew that natural people need natural care. His humanity forced Him to be compassionate to natural weaknesses and need, this natural relevance gave room for spiritual effectiveness. Even if you don’t think of yourself as overly spiritual as a Christian, you are still "top heavy" if you lack spiritually empowered yet "natural acts" of love like unselfishness, forgiveness, kindness, sacrifice, patience, etc. Because those things are spiritually powered and maintained. We can never expect to open anyone’s heart to our love through Christ if relevant natural needs such as emotional and physical demands are neglected.

In His Love, Ld
