Experiment: Blow a hot breath on a reflective surface such as a mirror and see how long it takes for it to clear.

I did it on my Ipod Touch surface and it took 30 seconds. I could literally see the fogged up surface get smaller and smaller until it completely disappeared.

Try it now!

That’s how long your life is to God.

Ps. 39:5, “Each man’s life is but a breath. Man is a mere phantom as he goes to and fro: He bustles about, but only in vain; he heaps up wealth, not knowing who will get it.”

No one will remember you in just 3 generations from now. Do you remember your great grandpa or great grandma? No? Your great grandsons or daughters won’t remember you either…

But I find it ironic that we DO remember King David’s words (most of Psalms were written by him) and he’s been dead for 3000 years!

What does it imply? This life is short, but this life isn’t all there is to it. Whether you stay healthy or get sick, the end result is the same. You can’t avoid death. Not even a genius like Steve Jobs. He couldn’t figure out a way to avoid it. Last I’ve seen, Arnold Schwarzenegger looks frail and old…

This life has no meaning apart from God. This life cannot have any meaning apart from God (Honest atheists would agree with this).

So, stop trying to find meaning apart from God! (Do we really need to catch every game? Do not really need to move to a bigger house? Do we really need to have that gadget?)

Christ alone gives meaning and only those who are attached to Him live meaningful lives.
