Romans 8:37-No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

I believe we all are idealist to a degree. For instance no one gets married with the plan to divorce. Why, because in the beginning we have ideals that our love will bring us through the rest of our lives. But if ideals were all we needed to have a harmonious family, a vibrant business, ministry, or personal life, than life around the world wouldn’t be as broken as it is would it?

Without a genuine faith that walks with Christ obediently, our ideals leave us very disappointed because ideals don’t factor in sin, evil, sickness, and death! This is why the more experiences of these things you face in life, the less naive you should be about being only an "idealist" in every situation you come into, because you begin to factor in reality from the perspective of a fallen world with fallen people who do evil (us included!).

This is why faith in Christ becomes so important for everyday life. Faith must deal with the realities of having goals/ideals, not met. Usually we become so impatient with God because we are only thinking idealistically, and naive to the reality of everything God factors in, since He knows all things. This is why a real faith makes Christians overcomers because they don’t define their lives by "naive ideals" (status defined by the world) but the reality of sin, evil, and death. Once you embrace the reality of it in your own heart and home, you must give up naivety, or perish in the disappointment of your ideals not being met.
