Something I knew would eventually happen in the U.S. is happening right now. A mob trying to overthrow the government! 
Some say they never thought this would happen in the U.S. They say something like this only happens in a third world country, but not here in the U.S. that is built upon democracy! But I knew it was only a matter of time before something like this happened. How? Because the Bible says so. 
Not that the Bible speaks anything about the U.S. (I don’t think). But it does speak much of human nature. And no matter how many laws and check and balances are in place, since they are human institutions, they will fall. Just look at Germany, Soviet Union, or Vietnam just a few years ago… I always thought that if the U.S. falls, it would be from implosion (from within) rather than invasion.
Sin is man substituting himself for God. When a man thinks he’s at the center, all civility will break down eventually. Right now, both the democrats and republicans think they are the answer to the problem. But they are BOTH wrong, for they put themselves at the center of their universe. 
Salvation is God substituting Himself for man. Our only hope is God. When we yield our throne to God and let Him take the rightful place, only then can this world know true peace. 
The man [Adam] replied, “The woman you gave to be with me – she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate.”.. and the woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” Genesis 3:11-12
What if one of them said, “It’s me. I’m at fault.”? 
What if either the republicans or the democrats said, “I’m the problem”? 
We the Christians must think, “We are sinful. God is holy. Let His rule reign in this land!”
“Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
