If things are difficult and not working out the way you want, consider the possibility that God is trying to get your attention.

What He wants to do at that point is to humble yourself, pray, seek His face, and turn from your evil ways.
“When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command the locust to devour the land, or send pestilence among my people, if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:13-14
Why would God bring drought and disaster upon His people? Because if all He gave them was comfort and peace regardless of how they lived, they would be destroyed in hell. So, God will afflict them temporarily in order to bring them back to Himself.
The most dangerous position to be in is when everything is going your way. Because then, it is easy to forget God. The Soviet Union forgot God and God destroyed that nation. The U.S. would be no exception. And individual Christians are no exception either.
When God blesses you, thank God, humble yourself since it didn’t come from you, and be generous. God doesn’t bless us just to make us comfortable but so that we can be a blessing to others.
If God makes you rich, be rich in God’s way.
