Proverbs 27:14Whoever blesses his neighbor with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, will be counted as cursing.
It may be an exaggeration to say that good intentions are completely irrelevant.  But if those good intentions resulted into a disaster, we would be so overcome with the disaster, that we would hardly consider the good intentions the person had.  Ideally we want to be blessed and benefit from good intentions…
This passage points to the irrelevance of good intentions and bad timing.  The timing makes the attempt “to bless” to actually become a curse.  In this case, good intentions are irrelevant if your timing is terrible!  To not consider how things could be received is selfish and insensitive.  We get the term “being considerate” from the idea of “considering”, whether it’s timing or anything else with our “good intentions”.
So timing and consideration is everything when it comes to truly desiring to bless someone.  The moment we care only about what we are doing, more than considering when it is best to do it, makes the attempt to bless someone a curse.  This is why being led by the Spirit must always “trump” dead religion, because our good intentions alone could end up being irrelevant or not taken as blessings…
So like Jesus, God calls us to worship in Spirit and Truth.  Serving and blessing at the appropriate time, bringing the power of the Spirit, not just the dead drudgery of duty.  Duty no matter the intentions, without the Spirit’s timing, is dead and not a true blessing.  Even the Father considered when it was the right time to send His Son in history to bless the world…Roman 5:6-7-For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
