Another scandal hit the air waves. This time, governor Cuomo of New York. As we repeatedly hear of these scandals – men from all walks of life – I ‘m surprised that we get surprised! It’s almost like we expect some men not to have any of these dark stains. And then we get surprised when they come to the light. But why are we surprised? 
Didn’t the Bible say ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God? There isn’t anyone on earth – there has never been – if you probe far enough, found to be innocent. 
What is not surprising is that some “good” men have sinned and their sin is discovered. This will keep happening. But what IS surprising is that all men have sinned but only some of their sins are discovered!
I’m in no way excusing or mitigating these men’s behaviors by stating that all people have sinned – men and women. What I AM saying though is that even the ones who are condemning him are not innocent. How many of us can truly say that we have no sin and therefore have nothing to hide? 
There has only been one man who could claim that. Only one man, if you were to probe into every single word He spoke, every single thought He thought, every single motive He acted upon, is found to be completely pure and holy. Jesus Christ. 
Every time we witness moral failure, it reminds us of our need for Jesus. He makes us clean, not our self-efforts.
