Today is our church’s 8 year anniversary. We will be celebrating it this coming Sunday. Those of you who can, hopefully you will make it!

These have been most adventuresome 8 years of my life. It felt like riding a rollercoaster at times. There are times when I’m at the top of the rail looking down at where I’m going and I can’t wait. But other times, I’m going through a dark tunnel, and I’m afraid I’m going to hit my head against the wall. And then another times, I’m holding on for dear life so that I won’t fall out!

But all in all, I must say that God is faithful. He has been there the whole time whether I was aware of it or not at the time. Like yesterday morning, I was desperate for an encouragement from the Lord and this is the word I opened up to in the morning:

I lift up my eyes to the hills.

From where does my help come?

My help comes from the Lord,

who made heaven and earth.

Psalm 121:1-2

God in His sovereignty arranged it so that I will open up to that page on that day. If this happened only once or twice, I would say coincidence. But when it happens over and over, it is foolish to think it’s natural any longer….

Walk with God. It is far better to walk through the valley of the shadow of death WITH Him than without Him.
