How are you living by faith? Are you? I want to make sure because that is the ONLY way to heaven. You will be eternally tormented in hell unless you are living by faith.
“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” Hebrews 11:6
How do we know we are living by faith? Ask yourself these diagnostic questions.
– Have you made decisions that would be detrimental to your health and/or finances because you decided to live by faith?
– Have you withheld certain pleasures or privileges others similar to your status have enjoyed because of your faith?
– Have you identified with and served those who would be of no earthly benefit to you because of your faith?
– Does your lifestyle say “I’m trying to get all I can while I can” or “I can live like a pauper now because I will live like king in heaven”?
As I’m reading through the Book of Exodus, I realize that all those who lived under the law did not make it to the promised. That includes Moses! He is the very representation of the law. And yet, through the law, even he did not make it to the promised land (Does not mean that he’s not in heaven….) Only Joshua and Caleb made it into the promised land. What was different about them? They were acting on faith. While everyone else acted faithlessly by distrusting God and wanting to go back to slavery, Joshua and Caleb wanted to do the hard thing, trust God, and attempt the impossible – in their case, defeating the giants and those who are stronger than they in the land of Canaan.
We must live by faith. Our decisions and lives at times should not make sense to those around us. They should be scratching their heads as to why we do certain things or forgo of certain opportunities.
