If we won’t move, God will force us to move. When I hear about the refugee situations in Europe, I see it as God moving masses of people so that they can hear the gospel. If certain countries, such as Syria, are closed to the gospel, then God will break up that nation and move the people where they can hear the gospel.

That is my journey as well. Both sets of my grandparents are from the communist North Korea. Had they stayed, they would’ve never heard the gospel. But Korean War broke out in 1950, forcing my grandparents to move down south. There, the American influence pervaded the nation and Christianity spread. Although hundreds of thousands of people died, God deemed it worth it in order for the gospel to go in.

When I read of God judging and destroying nations in the book of Jeremiah, I am hearing God positioning people so that they can be saved. On the outset, it merely seems like terrible tragedy that people are displaced from their homes, and God is helplessly watching. But that is far from the truth. It is God moving and rearranging nations and people groups.

“The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the Lord blows on it; surely the people are grass.” Isa. 40:7

This makes me wonder what God will do to America. Do not make long-range plans. America as we know it might not even be here for the duration of our plan.

Only God is eternal. Look to Him for your security.
