Good morning everyone

1 Corinthians 2:11-12-For who knows a person’s thoughts except the spirit of that person, which is in him? So also no one comprehends the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.12 Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God.

I’m old enough to remember the times when you actually waited to vent to people when someone or something really bothered you. You would then have to ponder the whole evening what you’re were going to say or do, rehearsing it over and over until you knew the right words to say to the person or do in the situation.

So I wouldn’t say technology is a problem in itself when people want to vent, the problem is us and how we take little if no time to process disappointments, anger, and frustration. Somehow believing that if we vent through technology for the "world" to know how disappointed or hurt we are, we will feel better.
At that point, venting through a device is a problem, because most people who see the post really may not care to the extent to hurt with you or pray for you. We hope so, but is that reality when you have hundreds of people considered "friends" to all be interceding for you?

We may feel better about letting out all our anger on a device, but we may have created more problems! People reading into things, wondering if it is them, etc. etc. Venting should always reach someone who can really do something about it, and though you may let everyone know what is in your spirit, can they handle it?

Most people can’t handle what is really in our soul. So instead of settling for people in a virtual world that cannot but "like" our venting or feel obligated to inquire about our sanity. Take the next step to prayer and communion with Christ, because the "techno-community" can’t handle something as precious as your soul.

In His Love, Ld
