Job 1:11 (Satan speaking) But stretch out your hand and touch all that he has, and he will curse you to your face.”

Good afternoon,

I can’t help but to wonder how many people who may be struggling right now to trust God and His goodness, maybe in anger and fear of not having the means to provide. Possibly tempting them to be angry and doubt the reality of such a God of the Bible?

I believe this is where Satan does his most efficient work of exposing our misguided belief about God or lack of genuine faith in Christ, to conclude there is no God who is good like the Bible declares. So people spend the rest of their lives in unbelief, deceived by an accusation from Satan.

This accusation from Satan reveals that he believes that we serve God only for the things He gives, and if God decides to take or allow all things precious to us to be attacked, destroyed, or die we will curse God to His face! Satan’s accusation to God was telling God that "His servants" don’t love Him, but the things they get from Him!

Hopefully as a true lover of God, like Job, we may struggle immensely to believe in God’s goodness at the time of suffering, but because we have the gift of faith we will keep our faith, even when we are grieved with our circumstances. If we fall away and abandon "our faith" in the Person and work of Christ, then Satan’s accusation will prove true of us, and reveal we never loved God but loved the blessings He gave us.

In His Love, Ld
