Have you tried to stop sinning? It’s hard, isn’t it? Some sins need more than will-power to stop. Because at the point of sin, it is the very will-power that loses its power and there’s nothing holding us back from sinning. So it doesn’t really matter how resolved we are at not sinning, when the temptation comes, that very will-power dissipates and we find ourselves in deep waters.

We need a Savior. Not only to save us from our sins. But also to KEEP US FROM SIN! We do not go to Him after we have tried our best and failed. No. We stay with Him the whole time, thus we do not fall into temptation in the first place. This will require much more vigilance and concentration. We can’t just think about Jesus time to time, but we must fix our eyes on Him constantly. That is what it means to grow in faith.

“Repent, then and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times off refreshing may come from the Lord.” Acts 3:19

Here, repenting and turning to God is NOT an one time act. It is a continuous and constant turning from ourselves and turning to God.

Do you want to be refreshed? Keep repenting and turning to God.
