We must throw off the notion that God can only use the godly for His purposes. He can use anyone He wishes. Including an ungodly, pagan king!

Listen to this stunning revelation: “For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen, I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you do not acknowledge me.” Isa. 45:4

God spoke this about a pagan king named Cyrus. He was going to use a pagan king who is not a worship of God to bring about His will for the sake of His people. In this case, it was rebuilding the temple of God in Jerusalem which had been destroyed. God was going to use a pagan king to fully fund the rebuilding of His temple in Jerusalem!

This is like the Congress suddenly voting to have all Christians churches in America to be fully funded by the government but impose no stipulations!

The implication is great – that God can use anyone. God can change the heart of anyone – even the most hardened and antithetical hearts.

Keep praying for your unbelieving spouse.
Keep praying for your rebellious adolescent children.
Keep hoping in God and do not give up.

No one is outside the control of God.
