Ephesians 5:15-16-Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16  making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.

Have you been angry or worried about a situation, that when you “get over it”, you feel like you wasted so much time on it, it angers you again?  Though situations reveal our maturity of faith, growing to mature is crucial, because it finds solutions to make the best use of time, that our immaturity wastes…
The context the apostle Paul is speaking from is our need to walk in love, especially with other Christians.  So he urges them to walk as people who live submitted to Jesus.  That living a worship filled life makes the best use of time, and doesn’t waste it on emotions/actions of strife, that a life without worship is riddled with.
Submission to Jesus should determine our heart and attitude to handle situations, not whether people/situations are the way we want them.  Then we prove we are submitted to people/circumstances changing, that may never change!  For example, to allow another person’s immaturity to determine our attitude in the relationship, waste time, instead of making the best use of it…
When Christ is not the one we are really reverent to, we are more reverent to other things like anger, pride, jealousy, bitterness, insecurity, etc.  All things that shut out any light that God is who we worship, and faith/love is what we live by.  Fight to make the best use of the time, be an agent of change that reflects light, even when others want to waste time in darkness.  Prayerfully they see their immaturity wasting time, instead of using it wisely, because that is a “promise road” for deep regret!
