A Miami condo collapsed, killing probably more than a hundred. It was not bombed or hit with a hurricane. It collapsed all by itself. There was another similar collapse in Korea. A building was being demolished, but instead imploding, it fell onto the street, enveloping a city bus making a stop, killing several in the bus. 
People are searching for whom to blame. The architect who designed the building? Building inspectors who didn’t catch this impending disaster? The city officials who didn’t enforce the building codes? None of them are directly responsible. God is. 
“The Lord kills and brings to life; he brings down to Sheol and raises up.” 1 Sam. 2: 6
Make no mistake about it. Every life taken is taken by the Lord. And He has the absolute right since He is the One who gave life. 
“The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.” Job 1:21
And what has the Lord taken away? Job’s children’s lives… 
Before you think, “Then, God is evil!”, remember also that, “He who did not spare His own Son, but gave him up for us all…” Romans 8:32
Since God is love, everything He does is out of love. He cannot do otherwise… 
Number your days. Today might be the day. Live it to the fullest, joyfully, for the glory of God!
