Since I discovered it on Youtube, I’ve been watching the Korean news much. One heart-wrenching story that is gripping Korea right now is of a young lady in the Air Force who took her own life after being sexually harassed multiple times by her superiors. This didn’t become an issue until the media got a hold of the story, and today the highest-ranking official in the Korean Air Force resigned because of it.

As a dad who has two daughters, I felt the grief of the parents who just lost their daughter. More than anything else, they wanted justice. And that justice was served partially when the official resigned. And I think still more heads need to roll who hushed up the whole incident for fear that they might get in trouble.

We care deeply about justice. Black Lives Matter rallies. Stop Asian Hate rallies. What are these but a cry for justice and equity? But you know who cares about justice even more than us? God!

In Joshua 20, God instructs Joshua to set up a city of refuge for those who have innocently harmed a person to flee to and find refuge. However, if it was done in malice, they were to show no mercy. He was to pay for the crime he has committed. In other words, justice should be served!

God is a God of justice. Every wrong will be made right by Him. So, all our griefs, losses and unfair treatments will be remembered by God, and He will make it right.

Trust Him.
