I have students who “think” they are my favorites. And they are not wrong! I don’t know how they know because I will never say to a student, “You are my favorite,” but somehow it gets conveyed to them and they become confident enough to say that they are. (By the way, I never try to show “favoritism” to any student which is different from favor)

It is not wrong to ask God to favor us. As a matter of fact, as children of God, we should want Him to look on us with His favor. It is right for my children to expect me to treat them differently than all the other children. I am their dad and my special favor will be on them, of course!

“Many are saying, ‘Who can show us anything good?’Look on us with favor Lord.” Ps 4:6

Go ahead. Ask God to look on you with favor. David did! And then recount HOW He has favored you and will continue to favor you on this earth and beyond!
