If you knew for sure every single one of your prayers would be answered, would you pray more earnestly?

What if upon arriving in heaven, seeing the video of your whole life, you found out that every single one of your prayers had been answered by God? Perhaps not the way you have imagined, but God in His genius ways, has answered all your prayers? (Remember, a “no” is still an answer…) Also, what if nothing was accomplished without your or someone else’s prayers for you?

“Truly, truly, I say to you, whatever you ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.” John 16:23

Well, Paul asked the thorn on his side to be removed, but it wasn’t removed! But God did answer his prayer. He said,“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Cor. 12:9)

But what if God had answered it according to Paul’s wish? Would that have been better for Paul? No. Paul understood that it was God’s way of keeping Paul grounded and humble before Him as not to ruin his ministry.

Do you believe your current circumstance is what is best for you? Or at the least, it is the optimum way to a best life for you? That is what this famous verse means: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.” (Rom 8:28)

– If God hasn’t given you success that you prayed for, it’s because it’s better for you that you don’t have it. (How many people’s lives were ruined because of their success!)

– If God hasn’t healed your disease, it’s because He determined that it’s better that way (After all, it’s hard to keep sinning when you are sick)

– If God hasn’t given you a spouse that you asked for, it’s because He thinks it’s better at this period of your life not to be married. (Do you know how much being married will complicate your life??)

The trick is to trust this God rather than complaining to Him because He hasn’t answer it the way WE want. If He answered it the way WE want, we would be in worse condition…

Trust that your current circumstance is God’s best for you. (But only if you have prayed about it)
