Deuteronomy 2:7-For the Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He knows your going through this great wilderness. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you. You have lacked nothing.”‘
I am learning as a husband and father of three kids how to “check-in” and do my best to gauge how everyone is doing.  Part of my conviction to do that, is to understand why they may have an attitude, and not miss what the real issue could be.  So trying to spend time with them individually takes work, and coming out of my own selfishness, but I realize it’s invaluable for them to know I care…
This is how I believe we must see God in and through every aspect of our lives.  That He intensely cares so much for His children that He has provided us with everything we need.  Even our hardships, to mold us to endure going through the rest of life knowing He cares enough to discipline us.  What is tragic to a soul trying to live by faith through hard times, is to conclude that God doesn’t care, when He does.
God called the children of Israel to move on into new territory, and Moses took the time to remind them how good the Lord has been to them in blessing their works. But He also knows this has been tough for them, “that they are going through a great wilderness.” Reminding them of His love, that He has never left them, nor allowed them to lack in anything…
When times are very tough, and we can’t do anything but be reminded of “how great a wilderness we are in”.  We should never forget the depths of Christ love in the gospel. Christ death made an eternal provision in reminding us that He knows our wilderness, and He doesn’t leave us in lack.  Whether that’s love or basic needs, the gospel must be our reminder of how much He cares for us!
Philippians 4:19-20And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. 20 To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

In His Love, Ld
