I fear what this country is becoming. Just in the last 30 years I’ve been in this once great United States of America, I can feel the change coming over. It is almost to the point, “Is this the same country that I’ve immigrated to 30 years ago?” A thought of immigrating back to Korea – where I came from – is a temptation!

The ubiquity of the homeless, ever rising secularism, churches running more like businesses, moral depravity accepted and even promoted, family values having lost their meaning due to break up of families – “what does it mean to be family anyway?”

Why? I believe there is only one reason: We have forgotten God.

Those are fearful words. Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn, a Russian novelist and a Nobel Prize winner, who suffered through Soviet Gulag, came to the U.S. and made a speech at Harvard university the reason for former Soviet’s fall – “We have forgotten God!”

Be appalled, O heavens, at this;
be shocked, be utterly desolate,
declares the LORD,
for my people have committed two evils:
they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters,
and hewed out cisterns for themselves,
broken cisterns that can hold no water.
Jeremiah 2:12-13

God will not relent forever. At this rate, one day people will look to the United States and think, “What happened to that country? How could it just implode like that? How sad that they have turned God’s blessings into self-glory!

Save your family. Save yourselves from this evil generation.

Turn to God. Trust Him. Commit your ways to Him.
