2 Corinthians 10:4-For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.

When you think about people you have been in conflict with, do you settle it by arguing over their behavior, or distancing yourself in a way to avoid dealing with them closely as you once did?

When we look back on those relationships we usually realize more positive ways to solve the issue.  Maybe instead of distancing ourselves, we sit down and have an honest dialogue?  Or instead of arguing over a behavior that offended you, think about how your response has made the situation worse?

We usually attack other people in “warfare” instead of warring against our own spirit and emotions.  Warring in the flesh or against the flesh doesn’t settle much of anything, but usually makes matters worse.  How much better would it be to confront our own unforgiving spirit, than to grow bitter and stay angry at people (flesh)?

I’ve learned that the more I have matured in Christ, and grown to war against my own spirit, the less drama I create with other people.  For the sake of unity in the Spirit, war to be responsible over your own spirit instead of blaming other people.  They are not where the war is located!
