Good morning everyone,

1 Corinthians 12:25-that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another.

Essentially Paul is saying there are many needed parts, all valuable to the whole body. So nobody is dispensable in essence, but if not functioning in our gift and adding to the body, we become a part that takes up space that the other parts have to work around and account for, which only we can uniquely fulfill.

The mentality of many of us (and rightly so at times) is victims, and as long as I see myself as a victim I can remain being taken care of, and don’t have to face the responsibility and potential hurt of being a "joint that supplies others" (Ephesians 4:16).

But the goal of a member of the body is to be a conduit (body) of Christ (Our Head) healing grace and compassion. This mentality moves us from ONLY being taken care of, to taking care of others who are in our relative place of being victims of sin and brokenness. The body then becomes a place where wounds are treated through people who use their gifts, to essentially bless the same body they belong to, but for another person!

The goal should always be for us believers to see ourselves as significant, rather than purely victims. Christ perfect love and power that He has invested in us is given to flow through us, building us up so we can build up His body. So there should not be a day that goes by that we allow the enemy to say to us "you don’t matter!" Our arm or liver would never believe that!

So it is not arrogant to say that people need your love, gifts and bold witness to give them hope in the Savior who saved you! We maybe extremely unique, and hidden, but never useless if we think as being part of one body.

In His Love, Ld
