We have been talking much about Jesus being the most beautiful. But have you thought of yourself as being gloriously beautiful?

When I go to the mall, I cringe to pass by a large mirror to see myself in it. I see a balding old man looking pathetically at the self. Immediately, I’m thinking, “Thank God, this is not the body I’m going to keep forever!”

The truth is that I and you, if we belong to Christ, will transform into a most beautiful creature we have ever laid our eyes upon. How is that? Since Jesus is the glorious and magnificent God there is, His bride must also be equally beautiful. And since He is God, He has the power to make her so. And He WILL make her beautiful.

“All glorious is the princess in her chamber, with robes interwoven with gold. In many-colored robes she is led to the king, with her virgin companions following behind her.” Ps. 45:13-14

This is none other than a wedding. Jesus is our bridegroom and we are the bride. He is most handsome, and we are most beautiful. (v.2)

Rejoice at your body deteriorating.
Rejoice at your hair falling out.
Rejoice at getting more wrinkles.

They are only a reminder of the permanent beauty we will have in the end. And we are only getting closer…
