Good afternoon everyone,

Psalm 33:18-Behold, the eye of the Lord is on those who fear him, on those who hope in his steadfast love,

The great satisfaction that makes people so motivated to give themselves to their family, a job, a ministry, friends, sports, etc is the expectation of receiving back a reward from those things. Usually appreciation expressed in a tangible gift, loving affection/respect, or some word of affirming our intensity to be a blessing.

But what happens when our intensity to do those things to benefit the family, the company, the team, etc. go unnoticed? Usually our surface reaction is no where near the real reaction we want to give!

The reason being is usually the people who we do those things for don’t know the sweat, the tears, the rejection and pain we went through to benefit them, and really how could they?

So we walk around wounded somehow believing that sacrificing ourselves for people who can’t appreciate what we do is not worth it, so we lose the intensity to fiercely give ourselves.

But the only person who sees and knows our hearts motivation, and what it cost us to do what we do is Jesus! Even the people we live with don’t know exactly what it cost us to be of service to them! But Jesus does, because it is the same fierce and passionate love He showed us, and burns for us at this moment! But do we appreciate Him and what it cost as much as we expect to be appreciated?

In His Love, Ld
