Good afternoon everyone,

Psalm 89:50-51-Remember, O Lord,
how your servants are mocked,
and how I bear in my heart the insults of all the many nations, with which your enemies mock, O Lord,
with which they mock the footsteps of your anointed.

In getting older and having the privilege of meeting so many people different than me, you realize what we share as people is a need to be understood. Regardless of how unique or strange our culture, style, taste, hobbies, etc are, we rarely if ever share the depth of who we are with those who don’t understand us.

Being questioned or even regarded as "different" is usually alright with us when we have others who understand we are "different". But has that been enough for you to stand at times? Maybe having people around but feeling alone, misunderstood, and even mocked for your faith?

Not only is fellowship a necessity not to fall into dangerous isolation, it is for our spiritual health that we be understood. Because if we don’t feel understood as a Christian, we may be tempted to compromise. Yet it’s unrealistic to think people should understand us all the time. Ultimately the need to have Christ as our Lord and closest friend to understand us, must become a necessity to navigate who we are and His purpose for our life.

In His Love, Ld
