Good morning everyone,

Matthew 7:6-"Do not give dogs what is holy, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, lest they trample them underfoot and turn to attack you.

After Jesus addresses being unfairly judgmental when not considering our own sins (hypocritical), He then goes onto talk about "pearls" that we have?? Have you ever experienced a breakthrough of some kind in your life that you’ve tried to share, and it seemed to be dismissed as a "common" thing? Times like these Jesus calls us to cherish and consider as "pearls". But are we rightly judging who to share are pearls with?

Pearls actually come from the discomfort and irritations of a clam. It is the irritation and discomfort that is producing on the inside of the clam a precious pearl. A pearl that if treated as "common" or "small" by someone else, is seen like that because the person judging doesn’t have compassion for the internal suffering that had to take place to produce it.

Do you recognize the "pearls" in your life with God? Do you feel a lack of worth because you keep casting what is precious to you, to someone who doesn’t respect what Christ has brought you through? Jesus really is the only One who completely understands who you are in Him and what you’ve been through. Are you letting people’s lack of faith and immaturity persuade you to think that Christ hasn’t produced "pearls" in your life? When Christ becomes our #1 relationship we will rightly discern who to share with and who not to. Then we won’t feel the need to be validated by people constantly, but praise God alone for the "pearls" produced from the discomforts and irritations of our life.

In His Love, Ld
