Good morning everyone,

Ephesians 6:14-Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,

I believe much of our confidence to get through test and trials comes from having an understanding of what you’re going through. But what do we do when we don’t understand or even conceive of understanding the kind of trials we are passing through? The scripture says "stand….fastened with the belt of truth" but how does that help me understand my situation?

The truth is that understanding everything all the time is really a "god complex" that came from "the fall" of Adam and Eve. God calls us to seek wisdom from Him, but until He gives it, we are to stand in His truth! The confidence from standing in truth and seeing that truth prevail eventually gives great confidence to our faith and relationship with Jesus. So if you find yourself confused, ask yourself am I standing and resting in the truth of God’s Word or am I allowing my "god complex" to dominate me?

In His Love, Ld
