Good morning everyone,

Daniel 9:18-O my God, incline your ear and hear…… For we do not present our pleas before you because of our righteousness, but because of your great mercy.

One of the greatest compliments one can get in a relationship is to have someone confess a failure at something while being completely honest about it. But not base their confession on how "good" they have been in the past, so now they think they are owed forgiveness. But really base their confession on how compassionate and merciful we have shown ourselves consistently to be towards them.

I really believe that the closest friend you can have is someone who you know desires to be compassionate towards you, because they value a genuine relationship with you that much. Jesus of course must be that first, because only He is perfect in handling us in mercy. But how compassionate are we to our spouses, friends, kids, co-workers/ unbelievers? And if we aren’t that compassionate, can we really expect people to desire us in weakness because of how merciful and compassionate we have been to them?

In His Love, Ld
