Good morning everyone,
Matthew 14:23-And after he had dismissed the crowds, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone,
There are times when you look back on situations you had previously been through, and it was that situation that helped you get through the new challenge. Well that is a lot like the effectiveness of prayer and staying in close relationship with God.
I now realize that the times I go through such inner conflicts that it takes intense prayer to simply get through it emotionally. But I’ve also realized that such a conflict was getting me ready to suffer in actuality what I had previously been struggling with inwardly. For example to struggle inwardly with intense pride and soon God test you with a situation that requires you to be very humble.
In hindsight we see the greatness of God and His desire to protect us. But how often do we recognize this? How spiritually aware are we that we are in conflict? And if we are aware of the need for prayer are we then aware of the test that maybe coming? All of these things require a life that constantly retreats to Jesus to endure like He did.
In His Love, Ld
