Good afternoon everyone,

1 John 3:2-3-Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. 3 And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.

One of the greatest revelations I have had over and over in my Christian life is that I can change. I believe that is very crucial to know and believe if we ever think that we can handle the constant changes life brings directly to us to handle. By change, I don’t mean adapting long enough in a situation until you can’t resist from blowing up and revealing who you really are and how you really feel. But a change that you actually sense happening to you that you know without it you would’ve never made it through.

Our Lord beckons us to Himself in order to change constantly throughout the scriptures. One of the reasons I believe God is so adamant that we "bear fruit" worthy of His name is first for His glory, but also that we wouldn’t stay at the same level of immaturity that we were before, and be swallowed up by the next challenge. I saw a bumper-sticker that read "Ignorance is more expensive than a good education", and in part they are right! Because to never grow beyond last years maturity invites ignorance to try and handle this year’s new challenges, which maybe a very "expensive" life lesson.

As the scripture reads, if we have a desire for Christ and for His coming we will live with a hope that desires to be changed like Him. Have you ever considered that the only person that can handle what your life demands is Jesus Christ? God desires worship and true worship changes us. Like a perfect Father, He knows that becoming like His Son is the best way to overcome hardship in this life and glorify His name. Such a change only comes by seeking His face in the scriptures by the power of the Holy Spirit.

In His Love, Ld
