Which one of these do we NOT believe?

1. God exists and made the world.
2. We are sinners deserving of hell.
3. God’s Son, Jesus, came to earth to die in our place.
4. All who will put their faith in Jesus will have eternal life.

If we truly believed all of the above, we should be the happiest people on earth no matter the current circumstances.

Just imagine how happy a person on death row would be upon discovering that the ruling has been reversed and would be compensated $100 million for the mental anguish he has suffered!

If we truly believed all four of those truths, we should never get down on ourselves, depressed, backslide, or even sigh.

But we do.

Conclusion: We DO NOT really believe those things… (Or at least one of them)

ALL of our problems stem from unbelief. Do you see it?

Matt 1:18, “This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.”

Work out the true implications of this word.

– God exists.
– We were on the way to hell.
– Jesus died in our place to reverse it.
– We will live forever in heaven by putting our faith in Jesus.

Take time to meditate on each of these truths and think about what it would mean if we truly believed each and every one of these.

Do not be unbelieving. Be believing! And be happy! =)
