What an amazing Sunday!  I had the opportunity to witness to my mother about it, and even as skeptical as she is of churches it was hard for her not to acknowledge our love for people.  Because we know we do it because of God’s love for us, I believe by “showing our faith by our works” it is hard to be negative towards a church when they are doing good deeds for people.  Though this is only the beginning I pray that we continue to have faith that God has gone before us and has a plan for our church to make an impact!
In context….Paul is praying for the church at Ephesus for them to truly realize who is IN them as they desire to do the work they do for Christ glory.  But also to have an expectation in God that only His power is capable of extraordinary results through us!  So when we see the amazing results of faith and God working in us, we we will love and trust Him even deeper as we humbly live on.
Ephesians 3:14-21-14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17  so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.20  Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us21  to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.

(vs 20,21 I think sums up all the verses)-I pray individually and as a church that we see our circumstances and relationships being submitted to His ability that surpasses any possible knowledge we have (vs19).  This causes us all to live by faith and allow God’s power to flow through all our individuals gifts we bring to the table of our families and church.  In James 2 v20, it reads “that faith without works is dead”, so a professing Christian or a church without faith is dead and ineffective.  Sunday was the perfect example of James 2 v18, that we “show our faith by our works”!  I pray we continue to strive to love Christ and each other by living by faith for His sake and the vision He has given us!

In His love, Ld-  P.S.-Kim(mie) Hogan-could you please forward this to Chan and John, and send me their email when you get a chance-thank you M’am
