In context, In an almost “self-pitying” spirit, Peter reminds Jesus of what they have left in order to faithfully follow Him
Mark 10:28-31
28
Peter began to say to him, “See, we have left everything and followed you.” 29 Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel,  30 who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life.  31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first.”
I think sometimes whether it is the pain, insecurity, fear, or all of them at once, the challenge personally for anyone who sacrifices what they have experienced or seen as beneficial and comfortable, is to walk away from that to what you cannot see…….YET!
*So here are at least 4 things I want to share that helps encourage me in this new journey together
*God knows that when we leave what is or feels like “everything” for His sake, it proves to us that our faith is genuine.
*I think we ourselves get suprised as to how much we love someone because of what we are willing to sacrifice for them when the time calls for it.
*If we don’t sacrifice to remove “personal limits” that relationships call us to do, can we really say that our love for that individual is growing!-(I believe God calls us to a deeper faith to remove limits so we can realize this!)
*The willingness to suffer “persecution” for someone else’s sake lets them know that they are more valuable than who and what you have left, because nobody desires to be persecuted-(As God left His throne in heaven to become flesh for us, to suffer and gain many sons and daughters, He calls us to leave our comfort and suffer, yet our return in blessing is 100 times greater than before we sacrificed because we become more like Christ)
*I’am really thankful that we as a “family” are growing closer together and I believe the current trials we are facing help to give us greater “substance” in our relationships as a Church and better servants to hurting people-In His love, Ld
