There are invisible hands that are guiding the events of the world. Physical hands are necessary, but what ultimately guide those hands are the invisible hands. As Christians, that is what we ought to focus on – the invisible.
When the Israelites were in the desert battling the Amalekites, as long as Moses had his hands raised, the Israelites would win. But when his hands drooped, the Israelites would lose. Although it was Joshua who was leading the physical army of Israel, the ultimate outcome depended upon Moses having his arms raised. (Exodus 17:8-16) To the outsiders, they would think that it was Joshua who won the battle. But those in the know that it was actually Moses who won the battle.
We go to work, exercise, eat healthy, buy, and sell, but there are invisible hands guiding all of our events. It may be prayer or lack thereof that decides the outcome of everything we are doing.
Do you have someone praying for you? Do you pray for other consistently?
Do not ward off the prayers of others on you. And do not quit praying for others. It may be the only thing that determines the outcome of all your endeavors.
